Spiked Frozen Hot Chocolate is a simple dump and go drink. Just a few ingredients in the blender and you have a pretty delicious drink.
We used to make this with homemade hot cocoa then realized the homemade hot cocoa really got lost with the Bailey’s Irish Cream and the Kahlua Coffee Liquor. So now we use a good instant hot cocoa mix and it’s just as good and so much easier.
This really is a fun way to use hot cocoa. Even though by the time you make it, it’s not hot you still get the flavor of it. So instead of a hot cocoa you’ll get a cold cocoa with alcohol lol.
We like our Spiked Frozen Hot Chocolate with Baileys Irish Cream and Kahlua Coffee Liquor but you can use other liquors if you like. We have also made this with tequila and orange liquor and it tastes amazing. In other words this can really be made in so many ways. Baileys Irish Cream and Kahlua Coffee liquor go so well together and we always have them on hand.
Here is how to make this simple delicious drink!
Servings: 2
Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 package of hot cocoa mix
¼ cup Bailey’s Irish Cream
¼ cup Kahlua Coffee Liquor
1 tsp vanilla extract
Approx. 2 cups ice cubes
Whipped Cream topping:
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ cup powdered sugar
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until well combined.
Pour into two glasses and top with whipped topping and chocolate sauce!
Whipped topping: Place the heavy cream into a mixing bowl and either using a hand or stand mixer mix on high speed until fluffy. Add in the powdered sugar and mix until combined.
Place into a piping back or Ziplock bag and top your drink!
