Strawberry Cheesecake Lush – A simple yet delicious dessert that is always a huge hit.
Everyone knows I am a Lush lover. Yes I have made many a Lush in my day. And I don’t think I have ever made one I didn’t like. What’s not to like?! They are simple to make. They are delicious. Everyone thinks you are a genius.
And most of the time all you need is a crust of some sort, Cool Whip, pudding and a little something else and “voila” a delicious dessert is born and you are the creator.
First I must say do not eat an Oreo. You need every last one for the crust. Second if you can’t find the cheesecake pudding you can use the french vanilla or plain vanilla flavor. It will do just as well. It’s really hard to not enjoy this simple cake. There are so many lushes to be made my friend told me once. And truly there really are so many different variations. Between the different crusts and the the fillings the possibilities are endless!! Enjoy

Strawberry Cheesecake Lush
Servings: 12 -14 servings
- 1 package Golden Oreos
- 6 tablespoons butter melted
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 8 ounce containers Cool Whip
- 2 packages 3.4 ounce each instant cheesecake pudding mix
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups milk
- 4 cups sliced strawberries
Place Oreos in a food processor and crush to fine crumbs.
Place cookie crumbs and melted butter in large bowl to combine. Press the mixture into bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish and place in the fridge so it can set up .
In a separate bowl, mix the cheesecake pudding , vanilla and milk together and whisk for 3 to 5 minutes. Place the mixture in refrigerator to set up.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 cup Cool Whip until smooth. Spread evenly over the cookie crust.
Remove pudding from refrigerator and fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip, and spread over cream cheese layer.
Slice your berries and lay over pudding Leaving some for the top.
Cover and place in refrigerator at least 3-4 hours to chill before serving. Just before serving, top with fresh berries.. Store in refrigerator.
