📝Variations

Do you want to change up this recipe and make it your own? Here are some ways that you can do that!

  • Snickerdoodle Fudge – Use snickerdoodle cookie mix in place of sugar cookie mix.
  • Any or No Holiday – Omit the sprinkles and serve any time of year, or add sprinkles to match your chosen holiday. Black and orange for Halloween, pink for Easter, and so on.

🥫 Storage

Store this fudge at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days or in the fridges in an air-tight container for up to 10 days. For longer storage, wrap the fudge in cling wrap then place it in an air-tight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.

💭 Tips

There are only a couple of tips to remember for this easy recipe. They’re important, though!

  • Spray the interior of your baking dish lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Stir your fudge constantly as it cooks. It can burn easily.
  • For easy removal, you can line your baking dish with parchment paper. This will make cutting the fudge so each.
  • I used red and green sprinkles, but you can use your favorite holiday sprinkles instead for this delicious sugar cookie fudge.

⁉️ FAQ

Do you have questions about this sugar cookie fudge recipe? Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions for this easy fudge recipe.

Does fudge have to be refrigerated?

No. In fact, it’s better when it’s not refrigerated. However, to store it longer than 5 days, it needs to be in the fridge.

Why shouldn’t fudge be refrigerated?

For short-term storage, room temperature is best. That’s because the refrigerator dries out the fudge.

Can I serve this fudge any time?

Yes! We used Christmas sprinkles, but you can use any color sprinkles to make this fudge holiday specific. You can also leave the sprinkles off.
