Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Topping:

  • 12 soft caramels
  • 1 tablespoon cream
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional

Instructions

  • Cream together butter and sugar in a medium bowl.
  • Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
  • Add flour and baking soda and combine until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Drop 8-10 large scoops of dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
  • Unwrap the caramels, combine with cream in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Heat at 15 second intervals, stirring until the caramel is melted.
  • Place 1 Tbsp of caramel onto each cookie, swirling into a circle.
  • Place the chocolate chips and oil in a microwave safe bowl and heat at 15 second intervals until melted.
  • Place 1 Tbsp of chocolate onto the caramel, swirling into a circle.
