Alabama Firecrackers

These bold Alabama firecrackers are salty, spicy, and packed with ranch flavor, making them completely addictive.

  • gallon bag
  • baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces saltine crackers
  • 1 cup light oil
  • 1 ounce envelope ranch dressing mix
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1-1 ½ tablespoons red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  • In a gallon ziploc bag add the oil, ranch dressing mix, onion powder and red pepper flakes.
  • Squish the bag around to mix everything up.
  • Add the crackers and seal up the bag.
  • Gently turn the bag over and over to coat the crackers with the seasoning.
  • Let marinate 1 hour or up to overnight.
  • Lay the crackers out in a single layer on a lined baking sheet (will have to do this in batches) and bake for 20-25 minutes until the crackers are toasted.
  • Let cool and serve!
