Melting Snowman Cookies

These easy melting snowman cookies take simple iced sugar cookies and decorate them with a "melting" marshmallow snowman. So cute!

Ingredients

  • 17.5 ounces Sugar cookie mix
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup butter
  • Jumbo marshmallows
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1.5 TBS light Karo syrup
  • 1 TBS water
  • Black food coloring
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  • Line a baking tray with parchment and set aside.
  • Prepare sugar cookies according to the package. 1 mix, 1 egg, and ½ cup of butter mixed until well incorporated.
  • Using a cookie scoop, place 1 inch balls on the baking tray.
  • Bake for 10-12 min or until the edges are golden brown.
  • While cookies cool, whisk together powdered sugar, karo syrup, water to make the icing.
  • Spoon icing on to cooled cookies so create a “melted” effect.
  • Cut the back corner off of your jumbo marshmallow.
  • On the front of the marshmallow take black food coloring and a toothpick to draw eyes and mouth of the snowman.
  • Using another toothpick draw a carrot nose with orange food coloring
  • Place marshmallow cut side down on an iced cookie.
  • Enjoy!
