Ingredients

  • 13.25 ounces white cake mix you can also use yellow
  • 3 ½ ounces strawberry gelatin
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 10 ounces fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Clean and hull the strawberries and cut into quarters.
  • Place in a bowl and sprinkle sugar over and stir.
  • In a large bowl, place the cake mix, jello, oil, pecans, eggs, flour and strawberries.
  • Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  • Grease a 10 cup bundt by spraying it with cooking spray containing flour. This is very important to get the cake to release!
  • Pour the cake batter in and place in the oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick/skewer comes out cleanly. Remove and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before inverting on a cooling rack to completely cool.
  • In a medium sized bowl pour the heavy cream and using a hand or stand mixer, beat until stiff peaks form.
  • Place into a piping bag to decorate the edge of the cake, or you can just cover the whole cake with the whipped cream.
  • Decorate with extra fresh strawberries.
