Taco night got even easier with this Three Ingredient Slow Cooker Taco Chicken.  We love beef tacos but sometimes like a change and chicken tacos is on the menu.  This is perfect for when your short on time. It takes just a few minutes to throw this together and the rest of the work comes in when you shred the chicken. 

Sometimes we use this Three Ingredient Slow Cooker Taco Chicken in a flour tortilla with all the fixin’s or we will make a big salad and put it on the salad and add the fixin’s to the salad and skip the tortilla.

 

This chicken is so juicy good! Any leftovers will freeze well too.

Three Ingredient Slow Cooker Taco Chicken

This Three Ingredient Slow Cooker Taco Chicken is the easiest recipe for chicken tacos. Just a few minutes of prep time and a slow cooker and your good to go!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless chicken brests
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa, mild, medium or hot

Instructions

  • Place chicken in bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle with taco seasoning. 
    Spoon salsa on top of chicken and spread to cover the chicken.
    Cook on low for 3-4 hours, or on high for 2 hours, until chicken is cooked through. I cook on low.
     Remove chicken to a plate to cool slightly, along with the salsa that is on top of the chicken. 
    Shred with two forks or your fingers and place in a bowl. 
    Stir in some of the liquid from the slow cooker, starting with a few tbsps and adding more as desired.
    Serve chicken in tortillas with toppings of your choice or on a salad!
