How to Make Cream Pie Oatmeal Cheesecake
This is a brief overview of the steps required to prepare this recipe. You can find the full instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.
- Line the bottom of sides of an 8-inch springform pan with the oatmeal cream pie cookies.
- Beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Then, add the whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Pour the mixture into the pan, cover, and freeze until set.
- Remove the cheesecake from the freezer, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then slice and enjoy!
Expert Tips
- Press the oatmeal cream pies into the bottom of the pan just firmly enough to ensure they stay in place. There’s no need to squish them.
- Pour your cheesecake filling into the center of the pan, allowing it to spread as it rises. This helps keep the oatmeal cream pies lining the side of the pan in place.
- Stop whipping the filling as soon as stiff peaks form. Overwhipping will collapse the mixture.
- Tightly wrap your cheesecake pan with a double layer of plastic wrap and foil to ensure freshness while stored in the freezer.
