Bourbon Cherry Cola Smash is the drink you will want to be sipping on a hot summer evening! This simple cocktail is just sweet enough and always a huge hit.

This scrumptious cocktail has amazing flavor. Made with Crown Royal, smashed sweet fresh cherries and coca cola.  So simple yet so magically delicious on a hot summer night. Not that this drink would not be amazing any time of year you would just need to use frozen cherries or maraschino cherries instead of fresh cherries to muddle in your cocktail.

There’s something magical about sitting on the front porch or in the back yard with a cold drink at the end of the day star gazing , looking for shooting stars or seeing if you can find a lightning bug fly by. And while we love many different cocktails sometimes we like something quick and easy! This my friends is it.

Cherries and cola go perfectly together and well bourbon pairs well with cola also. We have made this by the pitcher full for company by quadrupling the recipe. Simply serve with a bucket of ice on the side for people to make their own drinks. SO yummy!!  You can serve these with fresh cherries as a garnish but we choose to serve them with maraschino cherries. First we love them and second we don’t have to worry about pitting them. 

HOW TO MAKE BOURBON CHERRY COLA SMASH:

MAKES 2 COCKTAILS

• 4 oz Crown Royal

• 1 ¼ cups fresh cherries, pitted

• 1 tsp. sugar

• 12 oz  Coca Cola, cold

HOW TO MAKE BOURBON CHERRY COLA SMASH:

1. Remove the seeds from the cherries and dice them into chunks

2. Place in a large glass muddle together the bourbon, cherries and sugar until you have a pulp.

3. Add mixture to a bar shaker and shake to mix.

4. Strain the liquor mix into 2 glasses  over ice.

5. Top off with cola.

6.  Garnish with maraschino cherries and mint.

Ingredients

• 4 oz. Crown Royal Bourbon Whisky
  
  
• 1 ¼ cups cups fresh cherries, pitted

Instructions

Notes

 If fresh cherries aren't available or in season  you can substitute frozen cherries. Be sure to let them thaw first to make it easier to muddle them.
