- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1½ teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ cups chopped apples (I used honey crisp or fugi )
- ½ cup sugar
- 1½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Mix all ingredients except the last 3.
- Pour batter into a 9×13 greased pan.
- Combine last 3 ingredients to make a topping and sprinkle it evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
