So yummm!!! My husband hates cake but this is to die for! Stupid me I forgot the heavy whipping cream but still so delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe
So glad you and your husband liked this cake. We certainly love it!
What would be the best kind of apples to use for this cake??
We have used Fuji, Honey Crisp and Granny Smith. We have also used a mix of apples depending on what we have in the house. So really whatever you like best
Best cake ever so moist and delicious.
Thank you so glad you enjoyed it!
What kind of oil can I substitute for the vegetable oil?
You can use canola or safflower.
can you use canned apples/apple pie filling?
We have never used canned apples. I suggest if you do drain as much as possible. The cake is pretty moist without the extra wetness that canned apples would have
I just put this cake into the oven. It was very thick. I am waiting anxiously to see how it turns out. Smells good already.
Yes as you can see from the pics, the cake is dense
okay, so hubby loved the cake. It is very sweet with the icing, but definitely will be making again. ๐ฅฐ
