Cherry Almond Thumbprint Cookies
Cherry Almond Thumbprint Cookies
Cherry Almond Thumbprint Cookies are buttery rich and the perfect cookie all year long. These will pair nicely with your July 4th festivities!
Cherry Almond Thumbprint Cookies are one of our favorite cookies. They are so versatile and always a go to cookie for us. We just change the color and we have a brand new cookie!
You can also leave these plain of course and use just the cherry on top or a chocolate kiss if you like. You don’t have to separate the dough and add coloring but if you want to make a pretty colorful cookie it’s a great option.
We have a deep fondness for thumbprint cookies and these just happen to be one of our favorites. Adding the blue to half the dough made them perfect for July 4th! Add some orange and a candy corn, chocolate kiss or candy pumpkin on top green to the dough and you have Christmas cookies. You get the idea.
The cookies themselves have a super yummy flavor anyway you make them. We love almond flavor and the cookies are a super simple cookie to make.
Your going to roll the cookies and then make an indent with your finger then just add a maraschino cherry in each cookie.
I’m pretty sure these cookies will be on your must make list all year long!
