A few ingredients later, we have a delicious, chocolatey dough that we make even more choco-licious with the addition of chocolate chips! It’s a double-chocolate, brownie blast of cookie goodness in every bite.
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies with Brownie Mix Ingredients
This recipe only uses a few simple ingredients. You’ll find them all easily at your local grocery store, and the brownie mix might be the only thing you have to shop for at all!
- Brownie mix
- All-purpose flour
- Instant coffee
- Large eggs
- Vegetable oil
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies with Brownie Mix Instructions
It only takes a few simple steps to make this chocolaty semi-homemade treat.
Step 1: Prep
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and place powdered sugar in a bowl. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Dough
Add the brownie mix, flour, and instant coffee to a large mixing bowl and mix well. Then, add the eggs and vegetable oil and mix until combined. The batter will be thick. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips.
Step 3: Make the Cookies
Form 1 to 2 tablespoons of dough into a ball using the palms of your hands.
Then, add the ball to the powdered sugar and roll around to coat. Repeat until all cookies are made.
Step 4: Bake
Place each cookie ball onto the baking sheet, leaving about an inch between each ball. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
Step 5: Cool
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!
Hint: Mix the dry ingredients very well. Sometimes the brownie mix can be clumpy.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies with Brownie Mix
Ingredients
- 1 box Brownie mix
- ½ cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Instant coffee
- 2 Large eggs
- 1/3 cup Vegetable oil
- ½ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large mixing bowl, add in the brownie mix, flour and instant coffee. Whisk until well combined.
- Add in the eggs and vegetable oil. Mix until well incorporated. The batter will be thick.
- Fold the chocolate chips into the batter. Once the chocolate chips are well incorporated, take 1-2 Tbsp. of the mixture and shape into a ball using the palm of your hands.
- Add the powdered sugar into a bowl and roll around each of the batter balls into the powdered sugar until they are fully covered.
- Place each ball 1in. apart onto a baking pan prepared with parchment paper.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes. Once finished baking, take out of the oven and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer soft and chewy cookies, bake for 11 minutes.
- Baking for 13 minutes will give a similar texture as the edge piece of a brownie.
