  1. This cake was fantastic and well worth taking the time to make it

    1. Thanks so much! It’s one of our favorites! So glad you enjoyed it also.

  2. This cake was the highlight of my Thanksgiving; much better than the company at my table

    1. lol so happy you enjoyed the cake! 🙂

  3. Made this cake ABSOLUTELY following all direction. Batter divided into 2 x 8inch round pans as directed. The batter overflowed the pans, making a complete mess in my oven. And at 25 minutes, the pans still “jiggled” like they were full of water. Disaster…was making for a family Easter dessert…of course

    1. Sorry this didn’t work out for you. As you can see from the video and pictures the cake is made in 2 8 in pans. we have never had a problem or issues with the cake not being cooked
or done after 25-30 minutes but you could have cooked it longer until cooked.

  4. 5 stars
This cake is so delicious. I have made this 3 times now and it is a big favorite. Making it tomorrow for Easter Sunday too. Pure decadents and a family favorite.

Made this for my mother’s birthday. It was delicious! Not sure if it is an altitude difference, but I made this in 2- 9 inch cake pans and it was perfect.(8inch would have been too small.) I made it the night before and stored it in the fridge, but forgot to remove it as soon as I got up in the morning. It was good when it was still a bit chilled but out of this world at room temp!

Omg what a decadent luscious cake The peanut butter filling is so fluffy and creamy and the chocolate cake is dreamy and the ganache on top makes it out of this world My only issue was having flour mixture popping out of kitchen aide mixer Id give this a thousand stars if I could 💕💕

    1. So happy you love this cake. It is one of our favorites!

I keep trying to give you a five star rating I adored this luscious sinful decadent cake with fluffy peanut butter filling and moist chocolate cake with heavenly ganache No issue with using 8” pie pans I’m making it again! Thank you!💕

    1. Thank you so much Cindy! We are so happy you loved this recipe 🙂

  8. I made this as directed in 8” pans. I think it should have said 9”. It took so long to bake, at least 15 more minutes than the 25 in the recipe. Also it made for a very thick filling and more ganache than needed for an 8” cake!

    1. We always make this in an 8-inch pan. If you would like to try it in a 9-inch pan I’m sure it would be fine just a shorter cake and the time always works for us. We never bake more than 2 minutes. 40 minutes in a8 or 9 inch pan sounds much to long

  9. Do you just fill the inside with the peanut butter filling and only use the ganache on the outside of the cake

    1. Yes just like the picture shows and instructions in the recipe card 🙂

To the ladies having trouble with the cake sticking to the bottom of the cake pan, I sprayed the bottom with and oil and flour spray then used parchment paper that I cut to fit the bottom of the pan. Also Nordicware makes a 8 inch cake pan with higher sides. I had to cook mine about 20 minutes longer but it turned out great. 3rd time making it
