The flavor in these wraps comes from a mix of savory hoisin and soy sauce, a splash of tangy rice vinegar, and the warmth of garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Add in tender ground chicken, sweet onion, and crunchy water chestnuts, and you’ve got a perfect balance of textures. Green leaf lettuce makes a crisp and fresh vehicle for all that goodness.
Variations
- Spicy version: Add extra red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha.
- Vegetarian twist: Swap the chicken for crumbled tofu or chopped mushrooms.
- No water chestnuts: Use diced bell peppers for crunch instead.
- Serve it bowl-style: Skip the lettuce and spoon over steamed rice or quinoa.
