To make this copycat masterpiece, we use basic ingredients like ground beef, taco seasoning, and refried beans to layer flavor. Street taco-sized tortillas give us that perfect crunch after frying, and a simple blend of cheese, taco sauce, tomatoes, and green onions brings it all together just like the original.
Variations
- Veggie version: Skip the beef and use seasoned black beans or soy crumbles.
- Spicy twist: Add diced jalapeños or use spicy taco sauce for a kick.
- Cheesy overload: Use a Mexican 4-cheese blend or add queso on top.
- Sauce swap: Try enchilada sauce or a drizzle of chipotle ranch instead of taco sauce.
