Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have questions about this recipe? Here are the answers to the most commonly asked questions.

What is a dirty Coke?

A dirty Coke is a soda-based drink made with soda (usually Coca-Cola), flavored syrups or coffee creamer, and a splash of lime juice. It was first made in Utah and rocketed to fame thanks to social media.

Can I use other soda for a dirty Coke recipe?

While a dirty Coke is traditionally made with Coca-Cola, you can use any dark soda, like Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, root beer, or any of your favorite brands.

Can you store a dirty Coke for later?

Technically, you can, but it’s not recommended. Like a plain soda, dirty Coke will go flat, resulting in a drink without that signature fizz. It’s not very good.
