Easy Taco Cups Instructions

Making this dish is simple and only requires following nine steps. You will be so glad that you followed these steps when you pull these crunchy taco cups out of the oven.

Step 1: Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2: Brown the ground beef

In a large skillet heat olive oil on medium heat. Add the meat, onions, and bell peppers to the pan. Break the meat up and cook completely.

Step 3: Drain the meat

Drain oil from the meat mixture.

Step 4: Add taco seasoning and salsa

Add in one packet of taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. If adding salsa, add your preferred salsa and mix until well incorporated. Add more water as necessary for the preferred consistency.

Step 5: Prepare a cupcake pan

Spray cupcake/muffin tin with nonstick spray. Add in one wonton per cup.

Step 6: Top wonton wrapper cheese

Add 1 teaspoon of cheese, then top with another wonton wrapper.

Step 7: Fill the wontons

Add 1 teaspoon of cheese and 1 heaping spoonful of the meat mixture.

Step 8: Bake until crunchy

Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown.

Step 9: Top with your favorite taco toppings

Remove from oven and serve with favorite toppings.

Hint: if you don’t want extra cheese between your wonton cups, you can just spray a little olive oil between the layers.

Bake in batches – You can make more cups if you have leftover taco filling.

Use a knife to loosen – the cups If you’re having trouble getting the wontons out of the pan, take a small knife and run around the edges of the cups. Alternatively, once these crunchy taco cups cool you can pop them out with your fingers.
