  1. Add the oil to a medium sized skillet, add the diced chicken, salt, pepper and onion powder, stir and cook over a medium to high heat until the chicken is completely cooked through.

  1. Add the butter and garlic and cook for 30 seconds on a medium to low heat. Add the honey, bbq sauce and apple cider vinegar and stir.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 8 fajita-size or street taco tortillas

Instructions

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the diced chicken, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir occasionally and cook for 7–9 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned.
  • Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly so the garlic does not burn.
  • Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar until combined.
  • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken simmer for 1–2 minutes.
