These Garlic Honey BBQ Chicken Tacos are one of our favorite dinners! Seasoned and cooked chicken is tossed in a super yummy garlic butter, honey BBQ sauce and served in tortillas with red onions, cilantro, or whatever toppings you’d like right on top!

Garlic Honey BBQ Chicken Tacos
Equipment

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 8 fajita-size or street taco tortillas
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced chicken, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir occasionally and cook for 7–9 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and lightly browned.
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly so the garlic does not burn.
- Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, and apple cider vinegar until combined.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the chicken simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Meanwhile, warm the tortillas in the microwave for a few seconds or heat them in a dry skillet.
- Fill each tortilla with the saucy chicken.
