FAQ
If you have questions about these New Years Jello shots, then we have answers. The following FAQ answers all the most common questions about Jello shots.
How long are Jello shots good?
These will last for 3 -5 days in the refrigerator in a tightly-covered container.
Why didn’t my Jello shots set?
Jello shots that don’t set could be caused by a few things. If your water isn’t hot enough, the gelatin can’t gel. If you added too much alcohol, shots will have a hard time setting, as well.
Why are my Jello shots not freezing?
They’ll almost never freeze, and place them in the freezer won’t even cause them to set faster. This is due to the alcohol in the shots.
Can you put too much alcohol in Jello shots?
Yes. There’s no danger with this recipe because champagne doesn’t have a high alcohol content, but if you make Jello shots with something like vodka, you can add too much alcohol. This will cause the shots not to set.
Why do Jello shots get you drunk faster?
Most Jello shots are made with fruit-flavored Jello. This sweetness masks the taste of the alcohol, which can often lead to eating more shots than you should.
