Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Potatoes Au Gratin Copycat Recipe  – One of those recipe my family asks for over and over again. It is delicious and has just the right amount of garlic and cream.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Potatoes Au Gratin Copycat Recipe is seriously the bomb when it comes to a potato recipe!!

Ruth’s Chris is always a delicious treat. I’ve been there many times and I’ve never been disappointed in anything I’ve eaten. The potatoes au gratin are just one of their signature dishes. They pair well with any meat or chicken dishes. Though they are super indulgent,  we tend to make these when we have company coming over or for holidays. If that is the case we double of triple the recipe.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Potatoes Au Gratin Copycat Recipe  can be prepared in the morning and refrigerated  and then baked when it’s time for dinner to be prepared later on. I like recipes that can be made ahead of time. If your making a few things having some things done ahead of time is always a huge help.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse Potatoes Au Gratin Copycat Recipe will be sure to become one of your family’s favorite potato dishes!

 So yummy!!

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Potatoes Au Gratin Copycat Recipe

Course: Sides

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp all purpose flour
  • 1 large garlic clove minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Cut potatoes into 1/4 inch slices, then quarter each of those. Beat together the cream, milk, flour, garlic, salt and pepper by hand just until well combined.
Coat the inside of a large baking dish with softened butter. Arrange 1/4 of the potatoes on the bottom of the dish; pour some of the cream mixture over the potatoes. Repeat this layering step 3 more times.
Cover the potatoes and bake in a preheated 400º oven for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake another 40 minutes or until the potatoes are starting to brown on top. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top of the potatoes and continue to bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and slightly browned and the potatoes are tender.
