🔪 How to Make Tootsie Roll Shots

Making these chocolate shots is so easy. Just follow the step by step instructions below or in the recipe card below at the bottom of this post.

Step 1: Mix together the gelatin and water

In a medium sized bowl, add the water, and sprinkle the Gelatin on the top, and allow it to bloom, following the directions on the package. Stir well to blend. 

Step 2: Add the vodka to the gelatin

Add the Vodka, and stir again.

Step 3: Add the chocolate syrup

Add the Dark Chocolate Syrup and stir. 

Step 4: Melt the tootsie rolls

Unwrap 5 of the Tootsie Roll’s and place them in a microwave safe dish, with a Tablespoonful of Water. Place the dish in the Microwave for 30 seconds, stopping half way (at 15 seconds) to stir and add a little more water if needed. If the Tootsie Rolls are not melted, add 10 seconds and a little more water, just a few drops, and microwave. Stir until the Tootsie Rolls are melted. 

Step 5: Add the tootsie rolls

Add to the Gelatin mixture, and stir well.

Step 6: Rim the glasses

Dip the Shot Glasses in Karo Syrup, and then into the Nonpareils, rimming the Glasses. Pour the Gelatin mixture into the Shot Glasses, filling them.

Step 7: Chill the shots before serving

Place the Shot Glasses in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, and check to see if they are firm, or the Gelatin has set. Before serving, add a Tootsie Roll to the top of each Glass. Serve, and Enjoy!
