Easy One Skillet Pork Chops with Gravy

Easy One Skillet Pork Chops with Gravy – A simple one pan meal that has become a weekly favorite. So tender and delicious.

Easy One Skillet Pork Chops with Gravy is such a simple and quick weeknight dinner. I love that the gracy is a lighter gravy.  I have another recipe for smothered pork chops with onions and mushrooms .   It is really delicious also. It has a heavier gravy than this pork chop recipe does.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 6 bone in pork chops
  • 1 ½ cup beef or chicken stock or more
  • ¼ cup flour
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Salt and pepper pork chops on both sides.
Put 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet . when oil is hot sear pork chops for about 3 minutes on each side.
Remove pork chops from skillet  and sprinkle the flour in the skillet and cook for one minute or until all flour has been absorbed.
Add the stock and stir together. Scraping the brown bits off the bottom of the pan.
Simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
Add the chops back into the skillet and continue to cook, uncovered for 20 minutes or so. I like this gravy thinner so sometimes I add a bit more stock.
Cover and cook an additional 10 minutes or until pork chops are tender.

On the recipe for smothered pork chops with onions and mushrooms. The recipe doesn’t have onions or mushrooms in it. When do you have them? How do you cook them? I would like to know thank you.
