🔪 How to Make Rum Soaked Cherries

Making these boozy little bites couldn’t be easier. It only takes a few minutes and a few simple steps, and you’ll be all done. The entire thing takes about 45 minutes from start to finish, and 30 minutes of that is letting them set.

Step 1: Prep

Remove the cherries from the jars with small tongs and place them on paper towels to absorb excess liquid. Place the blue sugars in a shallow dish, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

Melt the white chocolate waters in a large microwaveable bowl at 20-second intervals until melted. Stir in the Malibu Rum.

Step 3: Dip the Cherries

Dip each cherry in the white chocolate and then in the blue sugar and place it on the parchment paper-line baking sheet. Repeat until all the cherries are dipped and coated.

Step 4: Set

Let the cherries sit for about 30 minutes so the chocolate can set. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Ingredients

  • 32 ounces Maraschino Cherries – with Stems – 30 – 33 count
  • 10 ounces Ghirardelli White Chocolate Melting Wafers
  • ½ cup Malibu Rum
  • Bright Blue Decorating Sugars

Instructions

  • Remove the Cherries from the Jars with small tongs, and place them on paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, add the White Chocolate melting wafers, and place in the Microwave to melt, stopping about every 15 to 20 seconds to stir the White Chocolate.
  • When it’s completely melted, remove it from the Microwave, and stir in the Malibu Rum.
  • Place the Blue Sugars in a shallow dish. Take a Cherry by the Stem, and dip it into the White Chocolate, and then dip it into the Blue Sugars. Continue until all the Cherries have been dipped.
  • Place the dipped Cherries on a Parchment paper lined Cookie Sheet to set.
  • When the Chocolate has begun to set, about 30 minutes, place the Cookie sheet in the refrigerator.
  • Keep refrigerated until time to serve.
  • Serve, and Enjoy!
