🥫 Storage

Freezing – Chicken fried rice can also be frozen in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.

Reheating – To reheat, simply heat it up in a skillet or wok over medium heat until warmed through. You can also microwave it, but the texture may be slightly different.

Serve With

This easy recipe is great on its own. However, we love to serve it with these Air Fryer Egg Rolls or these Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls. It makes it taste just like a meal from our favorite Chinese restaurant at a fraction of the cost.

💭 Tips

  • Chop your vegetables and prepare all your ingredients beforehand. Having everything ready to go will make the cooking process much smoother and more efficient.
  • Using cold, leftover rice prevents clumping and ensures the perfect texture. Freshly cooked rice can become too sticky and break apart easily during cooking.
  • Taste as you go and adjust the soy sauce, salt, and pepper to your liking. Everyone has a different preference, so feel free to make it your own!
  • Cook on medium-high to high heat to get that signature “fried” flavor and prevent the ingredients from steaming instead of frying.
  • If you’re not a fan of chicken, this recipe works wonderfully with shrimp, beef, pork, or even tofu for a vegetarian option.
