🔪 How to Make Valentines Millionaire Bars
This recipe only takes a few simple steps to make. It’s mostly a little melting and layering after you make the easy shortbread crust.
Step 1: Prep
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper and spray it lightly with nonstick spray.
Step 2: Make the Shortbread Dough
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a medium bowl. Then, add the flour and vanilla, mixing until just combined and crumbly.
Step 3: Bake
Gently press the mixture into the bottom of the pan in an even layer. Then, prick it all over with a fork and bake for 30 minutes until lightly golden. Set aside to cool.
Step 4: Make the Caramel Layer
Melt the caramels and cream in a small pot over medium-low heat until melted and smooth. Then, pour it over the shortbread and set aside.
Step 5: Melt the Chocolate
Place each color of melting chocolate in separate bowls. Melt them in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth and melted.
Step 6: Finish the Bars
Pour the white chocolate over the caramel and spread it out evenly. Finally, add little dollops of red and pink chocolate over the white and use a knife to gently swirl them together. Immediately sprinkle with the Valentines sprinkles.
Step 7: Chill
Place in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to cool. Then, slice it into 24 pieces and enjoy!
