🔪 How to Make Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon
Making this recipe is super easy. The homemade teriyaki sauce comes together quickly, and the air fryer cooks the salmon to perfection in just minutes!
Step 1: Make the Teriyaki Sauce
Add the soy sauce, ground ginger, granulated garlic, and sugar to a saucepan over low heat. Then, add the liquid honey and olive oil and mix. Pour a slurry of cornstarch and water into the mix along with the vinegar. Cook until the sauce thickens.

Equipment
- 6 qt air fryer
- Saucepan

Ingredients
Teriyaki Sauce
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon wine vinegar
Salmon
- 14 ounces salmon
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds for garnish – opitional
Instructions
- Pour soy sauce into a saucepan, add ground ginger, granulated garlic, sugar and stir. Put the saucepan on low heat.
- Add liquid honey and olive oil, mix.
- Stir starch in water so that there are no lumps. Pour into a saucepan, and also add wine vinegar. While stirring, cook the sauce until it thickens – this may take 3-4 minutes. Then take the saucepan off the heat and let the sauce cool down.
- Wash salmon pieces and pat dry. The skin does not need to be removed. Spread the fish pieces on top and sides of the teriyaki. It is convenient to use a silicone brush.
- Place the salmon pieces in the air fryer basket. Air fry on 325 degrees f for 7 minutes.
- After 7 minutes, brush the fish again with sauce and bake for another 2-3 minutes.
- Brush the finished salmon for the last time with teriyaki and serve.
- Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds and fresh herbs before serving.
