To make this delicious and easy baked mac and cheese you only need to follow these simple steps. This creamy comfort food recipe comes together in no time at all, you won’t regret making this creamy recipe.
Step 1: Preheat the oven and prepare a baking dish
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and spray a 13 x 9″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2: Cook the pasta in salted water
Cook pasta in salted water and 1 minutes less than al dente package instructions and drain.
Step 3: Mix together the cheeses
Toss the cheeses together in a bowl.
Step 4: Make a roux
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Sprinkle with flour and whisk constantly, cooking the mixture for about 60 seconds.
Step 5: Add the milk to make a cream sauce
Add milks in 1 cup increments, whisking well after each addition. Whisk until smooth and thickened.
Step 6: Season the cream sauce and add the cheese
Remove from heat and stir in salt, pepper, paprika, and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Stir until the cheese is completely melted and repeat with another 1 1/2 cups cheese.
