As you know by now, we love making sweets for the holidays, cookies chief among them. It’s so tempting to eat the dough when we make cookies, but we know that can be dangerous. Because everyone loves cookie dough so much we made these delicious no bake cookie dough bites that are perfect for the holidays.

It only takes a few minutes to make this super easy, super festive recipe.

Step 1: Make the Dough Balls

Scoop out small balls of dough with a cookie scoop. Then, roll them into balls with your hands. Place on a lined cookie sheet or plate and chill for at least 30 minutes.

Step 2: Coat the Dough Balls

Melt the chocolate chips at 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring between each interval, until melted.

Place a ball on top of a fork, then spoon the melted chocolate over it while holding it over the bowl. Lightly tap the fork on the side of the bowl to remove the excess chocolate with the ball is coated, then use a toothpick to slide the ball back onto the lined baking sheet. Repeat until all balls are done.

Step 3: Chill Again

Chill the chocolate-coated cookie dough balls for a minimum of another 15 minutes.

Step 4: Decorate

Melt the red and green chocolate according to the package instructions. Then, transfer each color to piping bags. Drizzle the red and green chocolate over the cookie dough balls and decorate them with sprinkles.

Step 5: Final Chill

Chill the cookie dough bites for another 10 to 15 minutes until the chocolate is hardened. Enjoy whenever you like!

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 15- ounce container Toll House edible cookie dough
  • 1 12- ounce package semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup red melting chocolate
  • ½ cup green melting chocolate
  • Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop out small balls of the cookie dough. Roll the ball between your palms to smooth sides, then place it on a lined baking sheet or plate.
  • Chill the dough balls for at least 30 minutes.
  • When ready to decorate, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until melted.
  • To coat the dough ball, place it on top of a fork and use a spoon to drizzle chocolate over the top of the ball. When the ball is covered, lightly tap the fork on the side of the bowl to knock off the excess chocolate. Then, use a toothpick to slide the covered ball back onto the lined baking sheet.
  • When all the cookie dough bites are coated in chocolate, return the pan to the refrigerator to chill for at least 15 minutes.
  • Melt the red and green chocolate according to the package instructions and transfer each color to a piping bag. Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the cookie dough bites and decorate with sprinkles.
  • Place the bites back in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes, until the decorations have cooled and hardened.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
