Making this slow cooker beef gyro recipe, is super simple. Just follow the step-by-step instructions below or in the recipe card and you will have a family-friendly meal in no time at all.
Step 1: Add the ingredients to the slow cooker
Add the roast to the bottom of the slow cooker. On top place the onions, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, lemon juice and water.
Step 2: Cook the beef
Cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH 4-6 hours until tender and easily shreds with a fork.
Step 3: Make the tzatziki sauce
In a small mixing bowl combine the yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, salt and dill.
Step 4: Assemble your gyros
To make the gyros spread the tzatziki sauce on a pita bread, add the meat and you can serve with red onion, lettuce, tomato and cucumber.
