Step 1: Cook the Beef

Cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a medium skillet until the beef is cooked through. Then, drain it.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 small head of cabbage chopped, around 6 cups
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 1 cup uncooked minute rice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 28 ounces tomato sauce
  • 14 ounces petite diced tomatoes with juice

Instructions

  • In a medium sized skillet brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. If there’s any grease leftover drain it.
  • In the slow cooker add the chopped cabbage, rice, water, pepper, garlic salt, sugar, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Add the cooked ground beef mixture and stir until everything is combined.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the rice and cabbage is tender. Once done serve and top with parsley if you’d like! (Optional)
