Slow Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Soup

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 small head of cabbage chopped, around 6 cups
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 cup uncooked minute rice
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 28 ounces tomato sauce
- 14 ounces petite diced tomatoes with juice
Instructions
- In a medium sized skillet brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. If there’s any grease leftover drain it.
- In the slow cooker add the chopped cabbage, rice, water, pepper, garlic salt, sugar, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Add the cooked ground beef mixture and stir until everything is combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the rice and cabbage is tender. Once done serve and top with parsley if you’d like! (Optional)
