Ingredients

  • 2 pound brisket
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 cup bbq sauce
  • 1 small red onion sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 brioche slider buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced dried onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 8-12 slices gouda cheese
  • Crispy fried onions for topping
  • Pickle slices for topping optional

Instructions

  • In your slow cooker add your brisket.
  • Top the brisket with the steak seasoning, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, black pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, and bbq sauce.
  • Add in one cup of water.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Remove the beef and onions from the slow cooker and shred.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place the bottom half of the slider buns in a 9×13 baking dish.
  • Place half the gouda cheese on the bottom buns.
  • Pile the shredded brisket on top of the cheese.
  • Top the brisket with the crispy fried onions.
  • Top with pickles, optional.
  • Add the remaining cheese slices on top and top with the top buns.
  • In a small microwave safe bowl melt the butter with the minced dried onion and parsley.
  • Brush over the top of the slider buns.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until the tops of the buns are golden and the cheese is melty.
  • Serve!
