🔪 How to Make Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Bites

Making this recipe isn’t quick – it’s a slow cooker recipe, after all. However, it IS easy! The hardest part is simply waiting for the slow cooker to slowly cook the cheesesteak.

Step 1: Combine Everything Except the Cheese

Add the stew beef, peppers and onions, beef broth, and au just mix to the slow cooker and stir.

Step 2: Cook

Cover and cook on high for 3 to 4 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours until the meat is tender.

Step 3: Add the Cheese

When the beef is finished cooking, to it with provolone cheese slices, replace the lid, and let the cheese melt. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds stew beef
  • 2 cups frozen peppers and onion
  • 1 cup low sodium beef broth
  • 1 ounce au jus mix one packet
  • 6-8 slices provolone cheese
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • In your slow cooker mix the stew beef, peppers and onion, beef broth and au jus mix together.
  • Slow cook for 3-4 hours on high or 5-6 on low until the meat is tender.
  • Right before serving top with the provolone cheese slices and put the lid back on until the cheese is melted.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve!
